Eulipotyphla, translated literally as "truly fat and blind", is an order of mammals constructed and filled from now invalid animal orders, related by a "shrew-like" common ancestor.
Eulipotyphlans are small, quadrupedal, often nocturnal mammals. All are, appropriately, often scientifically described as being "shrew-like" in form, and have slender snouts. Most have at least partial insectivorous diets, being avid foragers of the ground around them. They often have small ears and all have very small eyes. With these small eyes, most have incredibly poor vision, though some have still poor but not as poor short sightedness.
